Generic Health Secures Exclusive Partnership with Actavis, World’s 5th Largest Generics Company

Generic Health Pty Ltd, an Australian owned and operated generic pharmaceutical company headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, has today announced that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement for a number of retail products with Actavis, the world’s 5th largest generic pharmaceutical company.

Since its formation in 2004,Generic Health has been working with high quality, low cost manufacturing partners bringing low-cost, quality generic medicines to market via highly competitive and sustainable partnerships. Generic Health is on track with plans to become a significant player in the Australian generics pharmaceutical industry. The exclusive Australian partnership with Actavis accelerates the current market positioning and is expected to create a company transforming platform for future growth.

This announcement follows on from Generic Health’s acquisition of Bellwether Pharma in 2007.

Actavis has 11,000 employees and operates in 40 countries around the globe. Its headquarters are in Iceland. Actavis, as the worlds 5th largest generic pharmaceutical producer has one of the broadest portfolios in the international generics sector with over 600 products on the market, in addition to over 400 products in the development pipeline and in registration.
