Generic Health Announces Capital Raise

October 1, 2010: Generic Health would like to announce that it has completed a capital raise from existing investors.

The new investment arrangement will provide the support needed for Generic Health’s longer term market share and growth ambitions, in addition to supporting expansion of the current product portfolio. Generic Health will continue to develop their simple, reliable service offering whilst retaining the niche low cost business model and commitment to providing cost effective generic pharmaceuticals to Australia’s pharmacies and hospitals.

The capital raise also further strengthens the company’s position in the Australian generic pharmaceutical market, enabling them to successfully work towards the goal of becoming one of the key players.

As a result of this investment, Lupin Limited now holds a majority stake in the Generic Health business.

Lupin has been a significant investor in the business since 2008.

Lupin’s investment will result in no change to the day-to-day operations within the business and all current working relationships with customers and suppliers will be maintained.
