Indication
- Treatment of Hypertension
- Treatment of Congestive Heart Failure
- Treatment of Left Ventricular Dysfunction
Dosage
- 5mg (1 tablet) / day as initial therapy, titrating to 10mg - 40mg per day (usually in 1 dose), depending on BP response
- A diuretic is good combination therapy if required
- In cardiac failure and left ventricular dysfunction lower doses (2.5mg / day to start, rising to 10-20mg / day), and close medical supervision are usual
Pack
- 3 different strengths all tablets packed in blisters of 30
- 5mg: round , white, flat tablet with bevelled edges and scored on one side.
- 10mg: round, flat, red-brown tablets (with white spots on the surface and in the mass of the tablets) with bevelled edges and scored on one side.
- 20mg: round, flat, light-orange tablets (with white spots on the surface and in the mass of the tablet) with bevelled edges and scored on one side.
