Antihypertensive
- Lisinopril

Indication
- Treatment of Hypertension
- Treatment of Congestive Heart Failure
- Treatment of Acute Myocardial Infarction
Dosage
- 5mg - 10mg (1 tablet) / day as initial therapy, titrating to 10mg - 20mg per day (usually in 1 dose), depending on BP response. In some patients 40mg / day may be required. Adjust dosage at 2-4 weekly intervals during titration
- A diuretic is good combination therapy if required
- In Cardiac Failure lower doses (2.5mg / day to start, rising to 10-20mg / day), and close medical supervision are usual
- In Acute Myocardial Infarction initial dose of 5mg in 1st 24 hours to 10mg / day after 48 hours
